As part of an ongoing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) project we came up with an idea to build a news site which would provide our customers with up to date computing and technology news
I was given this project that included designing and coding the site before sending it off to developers to create the backend code. Whilst this was away with the developers I then became the project manager of the project also, making sure any problems were solved as quickly as possible.
As soon as we had signed off the site from the testing and development stage I then had the challenge of populating the site and checking that all the articles were correct and coming through OK.
Now that the site was ready to go live, I had the challenge to market the site so that we would get as much visibility as we could. This involved SEO, PPC and email marketing to the existing PC World customers.
